Project Screen arose at the peak of the COVID-19 outbreak, just as the country went into lockdown. This presented several unique challenges to us – specifically, how we would be able to ensure the safety of our warehouse staff and drivers whilst providing a timely service. Teams from various departments formulated a plan of action for transhipping, warehousing and onward delivery that would meet the clients expectations for both budget and project time frames, taking all areas of safety into consideration.
The client required large-scale pallet deliveries to 213 stores across the UK within a tight turnaround window – ensuring minimal downtime on installation so that stores could trade safely with the public, getting goods to those that desperately needed them.

The process was overseen by our experienced team of project managers. They supported the customer with tracking for every single aspect of the delivery process, from warehouse to install. Updates and frequent communication were vital as many of the customer’s management team were working from home or in isolation during this period, making coordination more difficult than usual.
Thanks to Forest Freight’s industry-leading tracking equipment, we were able to stay on top of any issues and deal with them in real-time. We were even able to upload photographs from our drivers to the live tracker as Proof of Delivery, so that the installation teams could see exactly where the goods were on arrival.

The Results
We completed the project just under a week earlier than the customer anticipated with zero issues. This resulted in every one of the 213 stores getting the protective equipment on time and installed, ready for public trading.
