In order to fulfil consistent UK-based orders, newly-established bespoke joinery company, KingsRock Joinery, approached Forest Freight for our extensive warehousing and delivery services. The company required a secure location to unpack, sort, and store their goods before onward delivery could be arranged.
What KingsRock say about Forest Freight
KingsRock’s Needs
KingsRock staff have 60 years’ combined industry experience, which has been harnessed to provide bespoke windows and doors for commercial and residential properties. Due to a large number of orders around London and the surrounding regions, KingsRock required a warehouse facility within close proximity of the city, where they could store their products and ship within short notice.
However, KingRock didn’t just need somewhere to keep their goods between deliveries. They required a trusted logistics partner that could handle their transport solutions, end-to-end, ensuring that goods got where they needed to be across 5 on-going projects.
Soon after their conception, KingsRock approached us to become their sole logistics partner, joining them on their new journey. They required us to take multiple day and night deliveries into our main, Essex-based depot. Due to our excellent location near the London Gateway port facilities and Tilbury Docks, we were ready and able to collect deliveries at short notice. In addition to checking, unpacking and storing consignments, we also carried out detailed safety checks, ensuring that everything was ready to ship out as soon as necessary. On occasions where faults were detected, our experienced warehouse teams communicated quickly and effective to KingsRock, taking pressure of them and allowing us to get the job done faster.
Consignments were delivered directly from the suppliers in Europe, via a trusted third-party, where inspections and reports could be carried out. After this, the unpacking process could begin. During this process, meticulous photos were taken of all the goods, which were sent back to KingsRock in order to ensure that everything had be delivered to Forest Freight correctly. Once everything was confirmed, the goods could be loaded onto one of our 60 specialised vehicles, ready for speedy delivery to the project site.
The Result
Thanks to our speed, commitment, and attention to detail, KingsRock have put their faith in us for a number of future deliveries. Having helped deliver and complete 5 projects across London and the south of England in recent months – with projects at the Howard de Walden Estate and Harlow Council Offices on-going – KingsRock Joinery have approached us about 8 projects due to start in early 2020.
These high-value, London-based projects will benefit from our close-proximity to major ports and the city, as well as from our close working relationship with KingsRock, allowing us to get goods where they need to be on-time and within budget. Due to our exemplary work on this client, we have cemented ourselves us a trusted partner for any future requirements.
